In the event of a crash, an incorrectly installed frame bracket may not provide adequate protection to an unbelted passenger, increasing the risk of injury.
The right front frame bracket may have been installed on the wrong side of the vehicle. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
